Five Looks with one Palette | Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam

July 22, 2020

I have been playing a lot with the 'Soft Glam' palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, and today I wanted to share with you five different looks you can create with the palette to show it's versatility and range! I really love this palette for it's pigmentation and blendability, and the glitter shades are extremely sparkly. The range of shades is also really usable.

Look One
This is a light and bright look, suitable for everyday wear.

1. Begin with an eyeshadow primer. My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Pat it onto the lid and towards the brow with a finger or a dense eye brush.

2. On top of that, take the shade 'Fairy' all over the lid. Pat it in with a finger or a flat eyeshadow brush.

3. On a fluffy brush, take the shade 'Tempera' and use it to blend the previous shade out a bit. Then use the same brush to blend using the shade 'Orange Soda'.

4. To the centre of the eyelid, in line with the pupil when you're looking straight forward, dab a bit more eye primer on in a narrow vertical line, before packing the shade 'Glistening' into that spot.

5. Dot a precise crease brush into the shades 'Burnt Orange' and 'Rustic', and lightly blend them into the crease to deepen it. Take the same two shades on an angled brush and run them under the lower lashline.

6. Use a small brush to apply the shade 'Glistening' into the inner corner of your eye.

7. Finish with a generous coat of mascara!

Look Two

For a touch of pink every day of the week, look no further!

1. Begin with an eyeshadow primer. My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Pat it onto the lid and towards the brow with a finger or a dense eye brush.

2.  Take the shade 'Tempera' on a fluffy brush and blend it into the crease and towards the brow.

3. Using the same fluffy brush, blend the shade 'Dusty Rose' into the crease as well.

4. Using a flat brush, apply the shade 'Rose Pink' into the outer two thirds of your lid.

5. Pat the shade 'Glistening' into the inner corner using a small brush, and take it onto the inner third of your lid.

6. Gently blend the two shades together, applying more of them as needed until you're happy with the result.

7. Blend 'Dusty Rose' through the crease again and under the lower lashline.

8. Finish with a generous coat of mascara! My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Fibre Extension.

Look Three

The rich brown shade 'Sultry' adds a neutral shimmer to fairly everyday looks.

1. Begin with an eyeshadow primer. My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Pat it onto the lid and towards the brow with a finger or a dense eye brush.

2. Pack the shade 'Sultry' onto the entire lid either with a finger or a flat eyeshadow brush.

3.  Combine the shades 'Tempera' and 'Rustic' on a fluffy crease brush, and carefully blend out the harsh line created by the previous shade.

4. Use a flat brush to pack on the shade 'Fairy' to the inner third of the eyelid, and carefully blend it into the darker brown shade already on the lid for a seamless transition.

5. Take a small fluffy brush with the shade 'Cyprus Umber' on it and blend it into the outer corner of the eye, taking it into the crease lightly as well.

6. Use the same shade on an angled brush to line the lower and upper lashlines with a thin liner.

7. Apply a dot of 'Glistening' to the inner corner, and finish with a generous coat of mascara!

Look Four

My favourite shadows to wear are warm bronze and gold shades, and this palette is perfect for creating looks just like that.

1. Begin with an eyeshadow primer. My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Pat it onto the lid and towards the brow with a finger or a dense eye brush.

2. Take the shades 'Tempera' and 'Burnt Orange' on a fluffy brush and blend them into the crease and towards the brow.

3. Apply the shade 'Fairy' to the inner half of the eyelid using a flat eyeshadow brush.
4. In the outer two thirds of the lid, apply the shade 'Bronze' with the same brush from the previous step, and blend the two shades together for a seamless transition.

5. Use a small crease brush to apply the shade 'Mulberry' to the outer corner of the lid, into the crease, and under the lower lashline. Blend thoroughly to smoke it out.

6. Apply a dot of 'Glistening' to the inner corner using a small brush or your pinky fingertip.

7. Finish with a thin eyeliner and a generous coat of mascara!

Look Five

Dramatic and daring, this look is great for a night out! Be sure to take your time with this one, as you want the shades to be really smokey and well-blended.

1. Begin with an eyeshadow primer. My personal favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Pat it onto the lid and towards the brow with a finger or a dense eye brush.

2. Pack the shade 'Bronze' all over the lid with a flat eyeshadow brush or a finger.

3. Blend it in the crease and towards the brow with the shade 'Cyprus Umber' and a fluffy brush.

4. Apply eyeliner in a thin line with a small wing.

5. Use an angled brush to apply the shade 'Noir' over the liner you've just done to smoke it out. Take that shade under the lower lashline as well.

6. With a small brush, apply a dot of 'Fairy' to the inner corner.

7. Finish with a black pencil eyeliner into the waterline, and a generous coat of mascara!
