Where were you?

Hello!

A while ago, I  vanished off the face of the earth.

I had been extremely busy, and put my blog on the back burner for a little while to focus on my other responsibilities.

But I'm back, baby!

If you're interested in what was keeping me so busy, read on:

Many of you know that I was on a full time musical theatre course in college, and in my second year my workload increased massively. I spent two hours on buses travelling to and from college each day, and was exhausted when I got in, but still had to do assignments and essays and all that lovely stuff. Luckily for me, my hard work paid off, and I was recently awarded the grade D*D*D for my course!

Part of my college course included an end of year show. This year it was The Wind in the Willows (which is a fabulous musical btw), and the process involved five full days of rehearsals a week, learning lines and lyrics outside of rehearsals, and I was also the wardrobe assistant for the show so I was making costume after costume by hand when I got home.

I was taking on more overtime in my part time job at Primark as well, which takes up both days of my weekends, as I work in the afternoon rather than the morning. The job isn't hard, but it wears you out running around picking up after customers all day, especially when all your uni student colleagues leave and the store has been unusually busy for months!

Finally, I mentioned in a post a while ago that I had been offered a place at drama school. I've accepted that place, but there has been a lot of stuff to prepare before I go in September. I've organised my deposits, accomodation, travel, and been getting to know the other people on my course. I'm also trying to get physically ready by exercising my body and my voice daily.

So there you have it, I've been a busy busy bee. To some of you this may not seem like a lot, and to some of you this may seem like a heck of a lot, but all I'll say is it was enough of a workload to exhaust and stress me so please don't be dismissive of it if you think it's nothing!

I am so excited to get back into blogging, and to see what the future holds for me as I go off to drama school!
