August Favourites

Another month has been and gone, and now it's time to welcome September into our midst. There were plenty of things I loved throughout the month of August, so of course I had to write an August Favourites post!

1. Salem
I have been binge-watching this show on Netflix all month. It's very dark, violent, and gory, so it certainly isn't for everyone, but I've really enjoyed following this story of witches, witch hunters and murder. If you like supernatural TV shows and films, as well as thrillers, I'm sure you'd enjoy this too. And for the gory horror lovers out there, I've found your new favourite show!

I ordered this at the same time I ordered the Subculture palette, and honestly I've enjoyed this one far more. I find the colours are beautiful, and they really suit my skin tone and eye colour. They're pigmented, easy to blend, and a dream to work with. Whether makeup is a hobby or a career for you, you need this palette. Seriously, there's a reason everyone raves about it. My favourite shades are 'Buon Fresco', 'Love Letter', and 'Vermeer'.

I adore these lipsticks. They're long-lasting, yet comfortable to wear, particularly with a lip balm underneath. I find with a lot of liquid lipsticks, after a while they start to flake off and feel uncomfortable on the lips, but not these. Even if you hate matte lipsticks, I think you would like these. My favourite (from the ones I have) is 'Hawkwind'. It's a deep brown shade that is flattering even on me!

If you've read my blog before, you'll probably know that I have very dry skin. The Body Shop's Vitamin E range has served me and my skin well over the past few months, so I decided to order myself the Ethiopian Honey Face Mask to hydrate my skin, and I love it. It's moisturising and feels silky on the skin, and I love its scent as well! If any of you out there have dry or sensitive skin as well, I would really recommend trying this. If you would like discounts on products from The Body Shop, you can join my Facebook group where I sell them [HERE].

For a couple of months, I've been trying my hand at bullet journalling, and these stickers have helped me to decorate my pages! I've also used them to decorate some boxes for storage recently. At the moment, the illustrator and artist who creates these is taking a break, but she'll be back soon with more beautiful designs!

What have you loved in August? I'd really like to hear your recommendations!
