REVIEW: Elizabeth Arden Perfectly Nude Foundation

February 25, 2017 1 Comments

Hello everyone!

I recently purchased Elizabeth Arden's Perfectly Nude Foundation in the shade 02 Albaster. It's the only foundation I've found that perfectly matches my skin tone.

It's a very light coverage foundation, which honestly I like. I have clear skin naturally so don't feel as though I need to cover up. It goes on very smoothly without having to blend for hours on end, and using a miracle complexion sponge achieves a streak-free finish.

Update May 2017: I have used this up and will not repurchase it. When I bought it, I hadn't looked into whether or not Elizabeth Arden test on animals. They do, and I don't want any more of my money going towards that! Please know if animal testing is against your morals that this brand do test on animals.

Lindybop Wishlist

This post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own.

I know that my sense of style isn't for everyone (as I type this, I have hot pink hair, for one). I have a real love of vintage styles - most of my wardrobe at the moment is 50's inspired circle skirts and dresses, and a puffy petticoat has genuinely become a staple accessory for me.

Recently, I've been enjoying scrolling through websites adding whatever I want to the cart with no intention of paying that (£400 in one go? NO!), but I thought I hadn't done a wishlist for a while so I may as well get some of that wishing out here for you to peruse! My favourite website for my vintage fashion needs is Lindybop. They sell plenty of styles I love, in my size at reasonable prices. Here are a few of my top picks.

This dress is super pretty. I love nature and natural imagery, so I love the tree detail at the bottom. I think this shade of pink is lovely, and I love the trim on the collar.
I don't own much turquoise and I feel like I should. Again, this has the references to nature that I love. When I first saw it, it reminded me of Starry night, due to the swirly cloud shapes of the sky.
We all know I love shopping, so this fun handbag print caught my eye. I love the bright belt accent, and I think that the light colour would be different for me - I always lean more towards darker shades.
This skirt is gorgeous. As soon as this is on sale, I want to buy it. I love the contrast of black at white, and once again it has the natural imagery I crave. It's such a statement piece.
A lot of my friends are in New York at the moment, and I'm insanely jealous. To get myself a feeling of the NYC spirit, I might just have to buy this lovely dress!
This has been on my Pinterest wishlist for ages, and now that it's on sale, I'm seriously tempted. I think the design is quirky and cute, and it reminds me of the boat scene in Tangled. I love gold, and it's a nice dark colour which I always love!

See anything you like? Let me know!

York: Trip Report

February 16, 2017 0 Comments

I'm on half term this week, and my mum and I decided to take a trip to York for a few days to take advantage of the time off. On Monday we set off on the train, and we arrived home again a few hours ago (it's Wednesday as I write this). We had a lovely trip, and I wanted to share my experience with you in case you're planning a trip to York and/or you're curious to know what we got up to.

Morphe Fall Into Frost Review

February 10, 2017 0 Comments

Hello everyone!

The 30f 'Fall Into Frost' palette had been on my wishlist for months when I got it for Christmas. It's an eyeshadow palette from Morphe featuring plenty of bronze and gold shades mixed with a few bold reds and subtle creams. Amongst beauty lovers, Morphe palettes are a cult favourite, and this one is often sold out on Cult Beauty, Beauty Bay, and Morphe's own website, so I thought I'd share this review of it for those of you who want one but are wondering if its popularity is justified.

Let's begin with the basics. The packaging is well designed and simple. Its sleek and would fit comfortably in a medium sized handbag, and it opens and closes nice an smoothly. It doesn't feel cheap, but it's not quite as luxurious as the Naked palette's plush suede exterior.

Fall Into Frost Makeup Tutorial

February 04, 2017 0 Comments

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to show you how to do a simple maroon makeup look. It's inspired by a few looks I've been seeing on Pinterest, and I used my Morphe 30f Fall Into Frost palette. This palette is one of my favourites at the moment, thanks to its bronze and red shades that work nicely with my blue eyes.

January Favourites

February 01, 2017 0 Comments

Hello everyone!

At the start of every month I like to reflect on the things I've enjoyed the month before. January was the month I went back to college after the Christmas holidays, so it's been a tiring and fast paced month. However, I've still found time to enjoy a few things, and I want to share them with you here on my blog!
