November Favourites

Hello!

Okay, it's been a while (again). I am a very busy girl. However, the Christmas holidays are approaching, and that means I'm going to have a lot more time for blogging, so will hopefully end up with plenty of drafts to post by the time I'm back at college. For now, though, I'm here with my November favourites!

Gossip Girl
Okay, first up has to be my new addiction. I know I'm super late to the party, but Gossip Girl is the show I immediately want to watch when I have an hour to spare. I put it on in the background while I'm doing homework, or makeup, or chores, and I tend to watch an episode before bed as well. Previously, I couldn't get into it, but now I'm officially obsessed. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's about the 'scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite', all exposed on the blog 'Gossip Girl'. The characters are so complex and interesting, something I think is different from a lot of 'girly' shows. My favourite character has to be Blair Waldorf - although she can be a bitch at times, I really feel she's grown the most throughout the seasons I've seen so far, and every scene with her in, I have to stop whatever I'm doing to watch!

Wilko's Wallpaper
I recently had to redecorate my bedroom because of a damp problem (now solved), and my mum and I also wanted to change up the hall and landing area as well. To begin with, we went to Laura Ashley because we know that a lot of their papers are gorgeous. However, we ended up in Wilkinson for something completely different, and stumbled across their wallpapers. They have a lot of lovely wallpaper, all for around £10 a roll (the ones we were looking at in Laura Ashley were £65). In my bedroom, I have a duckegg blue paper covered in little birds and birdcages. The design is very sweet and colourful, and I love it. On the landing, the paper is full of different kinds of trees. It's a very busy print that really packs a punch, and I love it. Oh, and did I mention that to make it more fabulous, it's glittery? Oh yeah. If you're looking to redecorate, definitely head to Wilko's.

Daddy O Shampoo
I've been blonde for a couple of months now, but I've felt recently that the shade I've got is a bit too yellow for my liking. I haven't had enough time to go to the hairdresser's, so to make it less yellow I thought I'd get a shampoo made for that. I popped into Lush because I knew they had one for this purpose, and a friendly sales assistant helped me find 'Daddy O', their purple shampoo designed to cool down brassy tones in blonde hair. Since I've started using it, people have literally been asking if I've redied my hair, because the shade of it has changed so much.

Wilko's Fairy Lights
To go with my newly decorated room, I needed some 'stereotypical beauty blogger accessories'. Naturally, I had fairy lights in mind. I found some really pretty, ornately designed ball lights from Wilkinson, and I love them. (similar here) They're long enough to go around the headboard of my bed and my bookshelf without having any awkward left over bits that you don't know what to do with. They shine fairly brightly and leave pretty shadows on the wall. If you're looking for fairy lights, I'd definitely recommend Wilko's, as they have a large selection of different types and they don't break the bank.

Eyelure Natural False Eyelashes
I never used to wear false lashes. They're tricky to apply, and always fall off me, and I have naturally quite long and full lashes anyway. Just not worth the hassle, right? Wrong! Even the natural falsies from Eyelure just add something to my look. While they aren't as dramatic as some, they add a hint of something else that steps up my makeup and makes me feel more elegant. I like that they aren't too full on, as people can't always tell that I'm wearing falsies. When I have them on, I get plenty of compliments on my eyes and my makeup, and I've now been converted to a false eyelash lover!

Wilko's Photo Frames
I used to have photos blue-tacked onto my walls, but after having it decorated I didn't really want to put any more blue tack on my walls, so I instead got a few photo frames. I love these ones from Wilkinson because of their pretty design and ability to hold landscape and portrait photos in one frame. They are also very customisable because they are plain white, so you could paint them or decoupage them or do whatever you want!

What have you been loving in November?
