REVIEW: The Body Shop 'Bouncy Sleeping Mask'

[This post is not sponsored and all opinions are my own]

Hello!

I'd been wanting to pick up the Body Shop's 'Bouncy Sleeping Mask' for ages. I'd heard fantastic things about it, and honestly the texture intrigues me far more than it should. However, I was put off by the price. £20 a tub? Ouch.

However, I decided to go for it, since I've heard it's really effective and lasts ages. I was very happy when I went to the counter and discovered it was on sale! My tub cost £14.40, which is pretty much a 25% saving. The Body Shop sales are worth checking out, apparently.

I've been using it for a couple of months and wanted to share my thoughts on it.

I find it very easy to use, thanks to the little spatula that comes in the box with it. I keep both the tub and spatula in the box though, so it does end up taking up a lot of space in my drawer! Without the spatula, I imagine this stuff would be impossible to pick up. Honestly. The texture's that weird. When you poke it, it just goes back into shape and your finger feels dry - as though you haven't put it in anything.

You only need a tiny amount to do your whole face - any more than a spatula full and it won't spread very easily. You always know when you've put too much on! Because of this, it lasts a very long time. Honestly my tub hasn't gone down much at all.

The packaging is great. You get a huge tub, made of glass (how luxurious) with a screw off lid. It's not fiddly, tricky or cheap, which you'd hope for when you spend £20. The tub and spatula come in a box printed with a pretty design. While some people wouldn't be fussed with the box, I keep my tub and spatula together in it so I see a lot of it!

The product itself I feel does work. As I put it on, I can feel it firming on my face, giving a sort of pleasant tuggy feeling that gives me a sense of it working. In the morning, my skin feels hydrated and smooth, and a little firmer. Obviously, the 'Drops of Youth' range is probably not intended for a seventeen year old. I suspect this is aimed more at someone wanting to mask wrinkles, which I don't have yet. However, I suppose it's good to make my youthful skin last as long as possible, although I can't comment on what it does for wrinkles. I can say that it certainly feels like it does some good for my skin.
